Service Description

► Class Overview Art Lab is an after-school program for ages 4–7 and 8–12, offered in separate age groups. Each session runs from 3:00–5:30pm, with an optional extension until 6:00pm for families who need a little more time. The session is structured in two parts: an hour of guided studio time followed by a 90-minute Studio Art or Painting & Drawing class. Students arrive, settle in, and begin creating — then move into focused group instruction with their teacher. It's a calm, unhurried way to spend the afternoon. ► What a Typical Session Looks Like Each 2.5-hour session follows a consistent structure: - 3:00–4:00pm — Guided studio time — students work on their own projects with individual teacher support - 4:00–5:30pm — Studio Art or Painting & Drawing class — structured group instruction with the full class - Optional extension until 6:00pm — available for families who need additional time ► What Students Will Learn - How to develop and organize their own creative ideas - Painting and drawing skills through structured instruction - Focus and patience when working on longer projects - How to problem-solve and revise their own work - How to express ideas visually with increasing confidence ► Additional Information - All essential supplies are provided - Maximum 6 students per class, grouped by age: 4–7 and 8–12 - Best suited for students who are comfortable working independently with teacher support - Extension until 6:00pm is available — please let us know in advance - Online booking closes 12 hours before class — for last-minute reservations, call or text 617-842-5679
