WAIVER

Parent/Guardian Consent

Children under 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian (preferably the one accompanying them to TONGWOOD) before joining any classes, workshops, or drop-in activities.

Release & Indemnification Agreement

As the parent/legal guardian, I authorize my child to participate in all TONGWOOD programs. I understand that participation may involve risks, and I release, indemnify, and hold harmless TONGWOOD, its staff, and officers from any liability, including claims of negligence, arising from my child’s participation.

Health & Safety Disclosure

I certify that my child has no health limitations preventing safe participation. I will provide information regarding allergies, medications, or other conditions that may require reasonable accommodation.

Safety Commitment

TONGWOOD takes reasonable measures to ensure a safe environment. Teachers supervise students during scheduled class hours. However, TONGWOOD is not liable for accidents, injuries, or health issues beyond reasonable control.

Financial Responsibility

Parents/students are responsible for safeguarding their belongings. TONGWOOD is not liable for loss or damage of personal property. Any damage to studio property caused by a student must be compensated by the parent/guardian.

Refund Policy

A. Conditions for Refunds:

  • Serious illness or hospitalization of the student.

  • Studio-related issues preventing continuation.

  • Other major events preventing participation.

  • No refunds outside these conditions.
     

B. Procedures:

  • Submit written application with documents and original receipt.

  • TONGWOOD verifies and approves.

  • Refund processed within 15 business days of approval.

C. Refund Standards:

  • Refund = Tuition – classes taken – material fees – card processing fees.

  • Material fees are non-refundable.

Attendance
& Absences

  • Late arrivals do not extend class time.

  • Absences without one day’s notice will be deducted with no refund.

  • Special leave requires at least one day’s written notice. 

    • Each student is allowed a limited number of excused absences (depending on semester length). Any additional absences will be deducted from the balance.

Intellectual Property & Media Use

Parents and students may not copy or use TONGWOOD materials for commercial purposes. TONGWOOD may take photos/videos for teaching, training, and marketing.

Communication

Class changes require approval from both teacher and studio manager.

Classroom Regulations

To maintain class quality:

• Parents/visitors may wait and observe in the lounge area, but not inside the classroom.

• No phone calls, photos, or unrelated activities during class.
