Hi fam and friends,

May at the studio is about looking close - at familiar objects, at familiar techniques, at the things students are starting to make their own.

Here's what's on the easels this month.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

Studio Art projects for kids at TONGWOOD Art Center, featuring mixed media, illustration, drawing, craft, and still life artwork.
Painting and drawing projects for kids and teens at TONGWOOD Art Center, featuring watercolor, acrylic painting, still life, sketching, and final student artwork.

The younger group is learning to look — a market bag, a fish, a bouquet, each becoming a new study in color and material.

The older group is working on technique — watercolor, line drawing, acrylic, and a three-week painting from idea to finish.
