Dear TONGWOOD fam and friends,
A quick note as our 2026 Summer Camp registration enters its final stretch. We've kept enrollment small this year to protect the quality of instruction, and most sessions are now nearly full.

CLASS IN THE SUMMER CAMP
Each week's curriculum is shaped around the students who join — their ages, levels, and creative interests. This is how we keep instruction genuinely individual, even in a small-group setting.
Sessions move through our full creative process: observation, sketching, planning, material exploration, and final work. The pace is focused, and the projects are real.

Ages 4-7
Each day, campers complete 2-3 studio art projects across a range of media, including painting, clay, drawing, mixed media, and recycled-material work. Projects are designed to build foundational skills in observation, color, and material handling, while keeping the experience playful, hands-on, and age-appropriate.

Ages 8-12
Students work in watercolor, acrylic, and sketching, with dedicated studio time to develop independent projects under teacher guidance. Full-week registrants also complete a large-format canvas painting. —
BEYOND THE STUDIO
Summer at TONGWOOD isn't only structured class time. We take students outside for plein air sessions, observational drawing in the park, and group activities — the kind of creative energy that only happens when kids work alongside each other.
